On the 21st April 2025 on easter day, a day of celebration of re-birth after death, I chose to take vows as a spiritual warrior, a voluntary obligation. Below is the structure of the vows.

Context

Prayer and vows are two sides of the same coin, they are one.

This is a ceremony to be baptized as a spiritual warrior. Not as a christian one, nor as a buddhist, but honor many spiritual and religious tradition who carry the work of love. Today one bright shining spiritual warrior has died may we carry his work and continue to shine the light of love. This is a passage of the bible about baptism that my mother shared with me.

**3** Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. **2** He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

**3** Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.[a]”

**4** “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

**5** Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. **6** Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit.**7** You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ **8** The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.

Before this ceremony one has cultivated these qualities to the extent that it has allowed them to become ready to take those vows:

  • The rigour and courage of the warrior.

  • The spirit of service to peace and wisdom in the world.

  • One has seen the need and the suffering in the world which exist in oneself and across the world.

  • One has developed compassion for the weak and the poor

  • One has cultivated humbleness and kneeled to with the love of earth

  • One has fallen in love so deeply with the world that it can not stop but act to heal the world and one self.

  • One has has cultivated faith in the world and hope for humanity life

  • One has cultivated the insight of emptiness

  • One has practice interbeingness with what looks different and separate

  • One has contemplated on impermanence

  • One has kept a heart pure like that of the child and innocent like that of the lam.

  • One is willing to give its life and die for something, and someone other than oneself.

  • That to cultivate peace in the world, one must cultivate peace inside.

  • That one must be careful of the under current that stays hidden from our views.

  • We should shine light so bright that no darkness can hide and we shall  heal darkness with unconditional love

  • That the battle we face is mostly a reflection of the inner battle that overspills into our unskillful actions.

This is a resurrection

Witness

What is most precious to me are my children.

What has formed me are my ancestors, of blood, mind and spirit.

Today in the presence of my friends on the path, who can support me on the journey, I make a request:

  1. To bring love by singing my song back, when I forgot my calling and lose self love.

  2. To show compassion by helping regain faith in humanity and on the path

  3. To act with true kindness by speaking the truth to me and shine light on my shadows and unskillfulness so I may be more effective at fulfilling on the vision of  “ a world that works for everyone. No one and nothing left behind”.

If you accept this request shake my hand.

Symbols

The read eyes: the eyes that see deeply, see what is uncomfortable, the suffering of the world and the truth

The black mouth: that will speak what does not always want to be heard but will bring liberation: truth

The spear: a weapon to price through the illusions

The naked chest: to stay open hearted and the power of vulnerability that breaks the heart open to love.

wrist protection: to protect from ill intentions

long sirt: to offer refuge for the one  in need

The poppy seeds: represent the future unborn and the planting seeds for a new world to rise.

Ashes to be burn: Ancestor who have given their lives for us to be here and a reminder that we will also finish in ashes

Rabbit:  A symbol of fertility after the long winter, the abundance of life.

The red egg has long been a symbol of life.  breaking the eggshell represents the opening of the tomb of Jesus and the yolk represent the source of life itself. The red on the egg: is the blood of the lam to be spare from the cursed of death. Also the miracle of resurrection: of no birth no death.

Introduction

There are no exciting vow which I have taken that are  contradicting with those I am about to take. I take these vows as soon as possible and keep them as long as necessary. Vows are not declarations of perfection. They are a north star, or, more than that, a path. A path that our heart and our mind may yearn for, and yet we can sometimes lose, or even forget. Vows are powerful because they commit us to that path. They help us come back to it -- and have others help us come back to it. They name commitments that come from deep sources in our heart and mind. They remind us who we are becoming.

They are also declarations into the world. Not just for us, but touching and inspiring others. They are a declaration of possibility, of integrity, of wisdom.

Vow

I am an ancestor, I bare the responsibility of an ancestor, I am accountable to the future generation. For our children and in hornour of the sacrifice of my ancestors who have given their life for us. Today on Easter day, in front of of the starts and “God” and for my children, for whom I am willing to die. I take these vows so there shall be a renaissance  through the work of  transformation and so that we can be liberated from suffering and enjoy the kingdom of God which is right here, right now. I take the voluntary obligation of those vows:

1. I vow to practice seeing the Buddha nature in every person I meet, especially in moments of conflict or difficulty. By practicing loving speech and, more deeply, loving listening. In every encounter, I aim to meet the other from a place of generosity, curiosity, and care.

2. I vow to continue making Art, speak, write and act to seed and support the emergence of an awakening society.

3. I vow to support and co-create collectives of spiritual warriors

4. I vow to not fall into the satisfaction of the mind but to integrate insight into action, not merely theory.

5. I vow to deepen and maintain regular contemplative practice. This is the ground of clarity, compassion, and integrity. I return to it regularly so that my actions remain sourced from stillness.

6. I vow to cultivate joy and play as sacred elements of life.

7. I vow to take care of my suffering in a wholesome way and to continue to heal my addictions. This is not about puritanism, but about reclaiming attention and choosing presence over distraction.

8. I vow to transform my shadow so I may heal intergenerational wounds and I vow to act, to perform, and to stretch beyond my comfort zone.

9. I vow to not hide behind stillness. I will step forward into the world with courage and creativity.

10. I vow to walk this path in community, allowing others to hold me to what I have vowed by remaining open to feedback from trusted others.

Growth requires humility. I welcome the mirror that others offer me.
